Interior

The house is gently decorated with great care and taste. The luminous and spacious living area comprises a sitting area with sofas, TV corner (and DVD player) and mini hi-fi music player, whilst on the other side of the room a dining table can host 6-8 guests. The little kitchen is very well equipped with a big fridge and freezer, micro wave oven, electric oven, kettle, gas hobs, coffee machines, all contained into beautiful and elegant furniture, and gently decorated. Guest have many pots, dishes and generally any tool and pans for a great dinners.  

The three bedrooms come each one with their en suite bathroom with shower, with their original layout, comfortable double beds (we can also provide a twin bedroom). 

All rooms are air conditioned and windows have fly and mosquito nets. 

Exterior

The Casa Igea is set in a beautiful and lush garden with all Mediterranean bushes, colored flowers, as well as the typical ancient olive trees. Everything is greatly kept and maintained, also well illuminated at night.

The house is surrounded by the garden on all sides,  fully fenced by the "drystone" walls (little walls made by stone without using concrete). 

At the front part, a wide porch is equipped with a coffee table and chairs, whilst at the left-hand side, there is a picturesque pergola which is housing a comfortable dining area and a sitting corner with sofas and armchairs.

At the rear a welcoming pool area is inviting guests to relax: the pool has an irregular shape with deep and shallow waters, and but furthermore with a hydromassage corner. The sunbathing area is equipped with sunbeds, sofas, and covered pergolas to dine "al fresco".

The outdoor area also provides a BBQ and a service toilet.  

Surroundings

Casa Igea is set in the outskirt of Nardò (LECCE), a lively city on the west area of Salento and characterized by a fascinating historic centre crossed by narrow alleys always full of crowded coffee bars and very good restaurants set within the old fashioned courtyards of many ancient aristocratic buildings.

 The property is close by some of the most beautiful villas and masserias of the whole region. Authentic building dating back to the early 20th century or even older. The location set along a country lane, just 500 mt away from the main services, guarantees the maximum privacy. 

The sea access is just 800 mt away. 

The coast is characterized by creeks with low cliffs, but in the center of the two marinas you can find two beautiful sandy beaches. At about 5-6 km away, there are also other beautiful beaches in "Lido Le Conchiglie". Another very interesting area from the natural point of view is located near Santa Caterina in the natural reserve of “Portoselvaggio”, an area of some acres consisting of a thick pine forest that slopes towards the sea, full of trails that lead to the creeks and small fjords and a small pebble beach. Here the sea is crossed by currents of spring water that make it always cool even in August.

We provide bed linen and towels (once for the entire period); extra linen on request (€ 25.00 linen; € 15.00 towels).

Security deposit: € 500.00

Small pets are allowed upon specific agreement (supplement € 50.00).
