Interior

This holiday villa is a rustic yet comfortable private house with a touch of typical local architecture. 

In fact, an ancient and spacious trullo was very well restored and extended with further rooms, all connected to each other and fully covered by stones “a secco”, which means that it was not necessary to use concrete to build it!

The main entrance gives access to the spacious living room which houses a kitchen (no dishwasher), a dining area with a table and chairs for up to 6 people, a sitting area with a sofa and TV corner.

The living area gives access to one double bedroom (enclosed by the trullo), a fully equipped shower room, a master bedroom with its own “en-suite” bathroom with a shower, and a further kid´s bedroom with a bunk bed.

A/C is provided in the living room and master bedrooms whilst the second double bedroom within the trullo is cool itself thanks to its thick walls).

Exterior

Villa il Melograno is fully fenced and surrounded by fruit and olive trees as well as by native vegetation. 

The entrance through an electric gates offers a parking area below a nice pergola, while your eyes already enjoy the multicolored flowers which are characterizing this beautiful garden. 

In the rear of the house, overlooking the sea, an outdoor sitting and dining area is equipped for relaxing and romantic moments, under the porch and surrounded by lush vegetation and the sea. 

At the edge of the garden a nice small pool (irregular shape 6 mt x 4 mt, deep 140 cm) and a well equipped built – in - BBQ area is few steps away. 

Surroundings

The most beautiful beaches of southern Puglia are just minutes away: at 3 km, outside Torre Vado, a long white beach stretches along miles towards the north.

On the south side, along the coast, grottos and rocky bay alternate to stone beaches and small marinas.

The white city of Santa Maria di Leuca is also close by the property (approx 7 km) and offers a beautiful promenade with bars and restaurants overlooking the bay of the village, many historic houses, and villas, a tourist harbor where you can moor your own boat or rent one out.

The coastal road that links Santa Maria di Leuca to Otranto, overlooking the sea, is just amazing: full of interesting corners to be admired, it runs with the most beautiful panoramic route of Puglia!
